A clash between police and farmers at the Data Singh Wala border of Khanuri led to the fatal shooting of one farmer, who was struck in the forehead.
Farmer leader Baldev Singh Sirsa revealed that the deceased has been recognized as Subhkaran Singh, hailing from Baloke village in Punjab’s Bathinda district.
The medical superintendent of Patiala-based Rajindra Hospital, H S Rekhi, informed reporters that:
Three individuals, one of whom was deceased, were transported to the hospital from the Khanauri border point.
Additionally, over 20 farmers sustained injuries, with authorities arresting and transporting many to Haryana.
