A teenager in Kota tragically ends his life, saying, “Mom, Dad, I can’t handle JEE.” This marks the second such incident this year.

 Tragically, in Kota, Rajasthan, an 18-year-old JEE aspirant took her own life on Monday. The heartbreaking suicide note addressed to her parents, she expressed her inability to cope with the pressure of the JEE exam.

This devastating act occurred just two days before her scheduled examination on January 31st.

The incident marks the second suicide in Kota within a week.

This adds to the distressing trend of such occurrences in the city.

The victim, who was diligently preparing for the JEE Mains, was found hanging in her room in the Shiksha Nagri area of Kota.

In the note discovered by the authorities, Niharika referred to herself as “the worst daughter” and deemed suicide as her final recourse.

“Mom and Dad, I can’t handle JEE. Thus, I’m ending my life. “I’m a failure, I’m to blame, I’m the worst daughter, I’m sorry, Mom and Dad. This is my last resort.” the note stated.

Marking the date January 23, Mohammad Zaid from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, aged between 17 and 18, died by suicide in Kota.

Zaid, a hostel resident attending NEET coaching, was found hanging in his room, no suicide note recovered.

His tragic death underscores Kota’s intense coaching culture’s distressing challenges for students preparing for engineering and medical entrance exams.
