The music queen Lata Mangeshkar had said goodbye to this world on 6 February 2022. After this, on Thursday (February 10), the ashes of Lata Mangeshkar were immersed in the holy Ramkund on the banks of river Godavari. Late singer’s sister Usha, nephew Adinath Mangeshkar and other family members reached Ramkund around 10 am and immersed the ashes.
‘Not my sister, she was mother’
Let us tell you that many residents of Nashik had also reached Goda Ghat located in the area to pay tribute to the Sur Empress. After cremating Lata didi’s ashes, Usha told reporters, “She (Lata) was not my sister, but a mother. All rituals were performed on auspicious time. The head of Nashik Purohit Sangh, Satish Shukla, performed the rituals. Nashik Municipal Commissioner Kailash Jadhav and some local leaders were also present on the occasion.
Remind that many parts of the body of 92-year-old Lata had stopped
working, due to which she died in a hospital in Mumbai on Sunday morning. He was cremated the same day in the evening with full state honors at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. On Monday, three ashes of Lata were handed over to Adinath, the singer’s brother and son of musician Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
