MGSIPA ORGANISES 12-DAYINDUCTION TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR EMPLOYEES ATBATHINDA.

MRSPTU Vice-chancellor Dr.Buta Singh Launches the trainingprogramme.

Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration Punjab (MGSIPA), Regional Centre Bathinda Organised 12 days Induction Training Programme for newly recruited cutting edge level state government functionaries of district Bathinda which was inauguratedhere todayby Dr.ButaSinghVice-Chancellor Mahraja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University Bathinda(MRSPTU). About 35employees of different departments of district Bathinda who were recruited in recent past are taking part in this programme.This programme has been sponsored by Department of Personnel & Training Government of India for bringing about efficiency and good governance in government organizations.

In his inaugural address, Dr.Buta Singh said that in this competitive worldand fast changing global scenario,Professional training and constant re-orientation of government functionaries is very significant for updating their knowledge about latest rules,and guidelines issued by the Government from time to time.He motivated the participants to work in their respective establishments in team spirit and to adopt positive attitude in the process of official dealings. He said that this kind of approach will help in increasing our efficiency and ensuring quality of delivery services to the people. He expressed the hope that this programme will be a successful venture and asked the participants to make use of knowledge andprofessional skills imparted by experts during this training programme.

Refering various examples,Dr.Buta Singh futher said that there is no subsititute of honesty,hardwork and sense of responsibility while performing in Government duties and also leading a public life.He advised the partricipants to be Role Models in their respective organizations so that other functionaries can emulate their principled and honest life.

Welcoming the chief guest and interacting with theparticipants ofTraining programme, Regional Project Director Bathinda Mr. Jarnail Singhsaid that the training of employees at the cutting-edge level is very essential for cementing the foundation of their service career. He said that all the official/officers of all ranks must equip themselves with all office procedures ,financial rules and civil services rules to expedite the official business for ensuring good governance in government and semi-government organizations.He said that MGSIPA under the under the able leadership of Sh. KBS Sidhu IAS, Special Chief Secretary –cum- Director General and Mrs.Jaspreet Talwar, IAS,Principal Secretary of Government of Punjab and Director MGSIPA, Chandigarh organises such training programmes regularly at the State and District level for updating the knowledge and skills imparted by professional experts in different spheres.

Detailing the objective of the training programme Mandeep Singh Project Coordinator said that the participants will be made conversant about Office procedures,Art of Noting and Drafting, , Conduct Rules, Record Management, Financial Rules, Civil Service Rules, Audit & Budget, Filing System, Punishment & Appeal Rules, T.A./D.A. Rules, Leave Rules Decision Making Process, Citizen Centric Behaviour, SwachhBharat Abhiyan, Leadership Qualities, Time-Management, Team Building RTI Act-2005,Stress management, Developing positive attitude and other E-governanace matters.Besides this a BloodDonation camp and Rural field visit will be organizedby the Regional Centre MGSIPA.
