1097 corona victims return home after recovery

Total 31814 samples taken so far in the district

Disclosing this here today, Mr. Srinivasan said that so far 31814 samples have been collected in the district under COVID-19 out of which a total of 2048 positive cases have been reported, out of which 1097 corona victims have recovered and returned to their respective homes. He said that at present a total of 642 cases were active in the district and 285 cases had been shifted to other districts. In addition, 24 corona affected people have died in the district so far.

The Deputy Commissioner further said that in the last 24 hours, 65 positive, 318 negative and 95 corona patients returned home after recovering.
