FINANCE MINISTER TO INAUGURATE RS 1.91 CRORE WATER TREATMENT PLANT ON AUGUST 15
MORE THAN 1.5 LAKH POPULATION TO GET CLEAN DRINKING WATER FROM INDEPENDENCE DAY

Finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal will inaugurate the Water Treatment Plant constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.91 crore in Industrial Growth Centre on August 15.
With the starting of this treatment plant, more than 1.5 lakh population will not only have access to clean drinking water, but will also be relieved of the long standing water problem.

Disclosing this here today D C said that about 20 acres of land has been acquired for the construction of this treatment plant.
This treatment plant constructed by Trivani Engineering Company and the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Department has the capacity to supply 5 million gallons water per day of clean drinking water.
Disclosing this Municipal Commissioner Mr. Bikramjit Singh Shergill said that with the commencement of this treatment plant Baba Deep Singh Nagar, Balraj Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Karnail Singh Nagar, Krishna Colony, Udham Singh Nagar, Hamir Singh Nagar, Harbans Nagar, Yoga Nagar, Nachhatar Nagar, Bhai Matidas Nagar, Silver City Colony, Jassi Paonwali Urban Area, Cancer Hospital, IHM, Haji Ratan Area, Awa Basti and Kartar Colony will be supplied clean drinking water.
