Three different areas of Bathinda have been declared as Micro Containment Zones

                           As per the guidelines issued by the Punjab Government regarding the prevention of spread of International Epidemic Corona Virus, District Magistrate Bathinda Mr. B Srinivasan has declared various areas of the district as Micro Containment Zones.

As per the orders issued by the District Magistrate, Ajit Road Street No. 20 and Navin Basti Street No. 4 besides Gandhi Basti areas of Goniana have been declared as Micro Containment Zones. He clarified that these areas would remain Micro Containment Zones for next 10 days.If more new cases come in these areas then it will be extended for 5 days. Check posts will also be set up for visiting these areas. Contact tracing and samples will also be collected.

The district magistrate further said that during this time the teams of the health department would go door to door every day to identify the suspected patients with symptoms of corona, So that they can be provided the required health facilities in time. People will also be sensitized to wear masks, wash their hands and keep their surroundings clean.
The District Magistrate further clarified that action would be taken against those violating the declared restrictions on seclusion and social distance under the Disaster Management Act 2005 and the Indian Penal Code.
